MSI
announces its latest AMD mainboard series: MSI DKA790GX. This series
mainboards is equipped with AMD’s 790GX/SB750 chipsets which
provide full HD, best-in-class 3D graphics performance, enhanced
scalability, and “Rock-Solid Stability” for
mainstream
gaming, multimedia and commercial PC systems. This solution introduces
the new “Advanced Clock Calibration” technology. In
the
BIOS of MSI DKA790GX or AMD Overdrive software, the user can enable
this ACC option to improve communications with the Black Edition Phenom
CPU which ehances the maximum overclocking performance. On these
mainboard series MSI has also implemented its 3-in-1 MOSFET chip:
DrMOS. In addition, MSI DKA790GX series mainboard comes with MSI Flat
Circu-Pipe for extreme cooling, 5 phases PWM with DrMOS support for
140W CPU and high performance IGP overclocking. The MSI DKA790GX
Platinum mainboard is equipped with a special overclocking feature; it
comes with 3 new enlightened easy buttons for clear CMOS, reset and
power. MSI offers 3 790GX mainboard models: MSI DKA790GX Platinum, MSI
DKA790GX and MSI KA790GX. All 3 mainboards are designed to meet the
needs of passionate gamers and high-end multimedia enthusiasts. As a
special bundle all 3 mainboards come with harddisk back-up software.

MSI DKA790GX series mainboards have a build-in Radeon HD 3300 GPU core,
supporting DirectX® 10 and incorporates dual display,
integrated
DVI, HDMI, and VGA Port providing realistic and playable frame rates in
the latest game titles. MSI DKA790GX Platinum is featured with an
additional 1Gbit DDR3 1333MHz IGP Boost Memory (SidePort) to accelerate
onboard VGA 3D performance up to 15%. Besides onboard VGA, MSI DKA790GX
series support Hybrid CrossFireX technology, which boosts the 3D
performance by enabling the chipset’s integrated graphics
processor and a discrete GPU to operate
simultaneously
with combined output to a single display, resulting in fast frame
rates. For the true gamers, MSI DKA790GX series also supports
CrossFireX technology; combine two MSI R4870 or R4850 graphics cards
and the 3D gaming resolutions will have a more detailed DirectX10.1
effects and the 3D frame rate is lifted to another, much higher level.
MSI DrMOS 3-in-1 chip
MSI DKA790GX mainboards has onboard high-quality solid capacitors that
are made in Japan. These capacitors with low impedance and high ripple
current ensure a better filtering effect. Another exclusive feature on
MSI DKA790GX series products are the PWM MOSFETS on the mainboards,
based on MSI’s DrMOS server-class component chip in which the
top
and bottom MOSFET are integrated with the Driver IC. This results in a
better power efficiency, low spike noise and high response speed
characteristics. Therefore, MSI DrMOS is best used in combination with
a high-frequency switching power supply to enable extreme overclocking.

MSI DKA790GX Platinum has an exceptional flat circu-pipe solution with
a circular shape and bigger sink surface. The flat design of the
heat-pipe is enhancing the heat dissipation performance with 20%. MSI
DKA790GX CPU’s power supply has a 5 phase PWM design, which
can
support a 140W CPU. As result, the power supply becomes more stable and
reduces the produced heat, especially during overclocking.
